Creality CR-ABS White is an engineering-grade ABS reformulated to behave itself. Standard ABS is strong but temperamental — it shrinks as it cools, which lifts corners and splits layers on anything large. CR-ABS lowers that shrink rate, so big parts with flat faces and sharp corners come out intact far more often.
White ABS is the natural choice for parts you intend to paint or dye, and for anything that needs to read as a finished product rather than a prototype. It shows detail clearly under photography and takes primer evenly without ghosting.
Key Features
- Clean Neutral White: an even base for painting, dyeing or finished white parts
- Impact and Heat Resistant: tough engineering-grade ABS for functional parts that see stress or warmth
- Reduced Shrinkage: reformulated to lower the shrink rate, cutting warping, cracking and layer separation compared to standard ABS
- Machinable Finish: sands, drills, glues and paints cleanly, and smooths with acetone vapour
- Diameter Tolerance: ±0.03 mm for consistent flow and reliable layer adhesion
- Vacuum-Sealed Spool: packed with desiccant to protect against moisture in transit and storage
Recommended Print Settings
- Nozzle Temperature: 230°C – 250°C (240°C is a reliable starting point)
- Bed Temperature: 90°C – 110°C
- Print Speed: 40 – 60 mm/s on open-frame printers, higher on enclosed high-speed machines
- Cooling Fan: 0 – 20% — too much cooling causes layer cracking
- Enclosure: strongly recommended — essential for prints over roughly 50 mm
- Drying: dry before use if the spool has been open more than a week
Compatible Printers
CR-ABS is 1.75 mm and prints on any FDM machine with a bed that reaches 100°C and a hotend rated to 250°C. It performs best in an enclosed printer such as the Creality K1, K1C, K1 Max or K2 Plus, or on an Ender 3, Ender 5 or CR-10 fitted with an enclosure. On an open-frame printer without one, keep prints small — larger parts will lift at the corners as the outer edges cool faster than the core.
