Key Features
- ASA reinforced with carbon fibre for significantly higher stiffness than standard ASA
- Genuine UV and weather resistance – holds colour and mechanical properties outdoors where ABS yellows and goes brittle
- Reduced warping and improved dimensional stability versus standard ASA
- Matte technical surface that hides layer lines and minor imperfections
- Heat resistant to approximately 95–100°C
Recommended Print Settings
- Nozzle temperature: 240–280°C
- Bed temperature: 90–110°C
- Cooling fan: off, or minimal, for best layer bonding
- Print speed: 30–100mm/s
- Nozzle: hardened steel or other wear-resistant nozzle, minimum 0.4–0.6mm – mandatory for carbon fibre
- Enclosure: required – ASA needs a stable ambient temperature to avoid warping and cracking
- Ventilation: print in a well-ventilated space – ASA releases fumes while printing
Compatible Printers
- Requires an enclosed printer with a heated bed capable of 100°C+ and a hardened nozzle
- Suitable machines include the Creality K1 / K1 Max / K1C / K2 Plus and Bambu Lab X1/P1 series (enclosed)
- Open-frame printers (standard Ender-3, CR-10) need an added enclosure and all-metal hotend before this becomes practical
