Why We Only Stock ERYONE, Creality and SA Filament (Not Generic Off-Brand Rolls)

We get asked, reasonably often, why we don’t carry a wider spread of budget filament brands — some customers assume more options means better prices, and sometimes it would. Here’s the honest reasoning, including the part where it costs us sales.

Why Not Just Stock the Cheapest Filament Available?

Because we run our own print farm on the same filament we sell, and a spool that fails halfway through a job costs us the same wasted machine time and material it would cost you. Generic, unbranded filament varies wildly in diameter consistency and moisture packaging from batch to batch — sometimes from spool to spool within the same batch — because there’s often no consistent manufacturing standard behind the label. We’d be selling you a gamble and calling it a discount.

Doesn’t Stocking Fewer Brands Limit What Customers Can Choose?

It limits the number of options, but not the range of jobs those options cover. ERYONE, Creality and SA Filament between them span specialty finishes, dependable everyday PLA, locally manufactured material, and materials suited to everything from cosplay props to functional print-farm parts. We’d rather carry three brands we’ve tested and stand behind than fifteen we’re guessing about.

What Does Being Selective Actually Cost You as a Business?

Some sales, honestly. There are customers who want the absolute lowest price point regardless of brand, and we’re not always going to be their first stop, especially on basic PLA where margins are thin everywhere. We’ve made the call that a customer who gets a clean, predictable print run and comes back is worth more than a one-off sale on a roll we’re not confident about.

Why Are You an Authorised ERYONE Distributor Specifically?

Because ERYONE’s specialty PLA lines — Rainbow, Silk, Hyper Speed, and their PA12-CF nylon — are where we saw the clearest gap between what generic sellers offer and what a properly imported, properly stored specialty filament can do. Being an authorised distributor means a direct supply relationship rather than buying through resellers ourselves, which keeps quality control and pricing more predictable on our end — and that predictability is what we’re passing on.

Why Carry Creality Alongside a Specialty Brand Like ERYONE?

Because not every job needs a specialty finish, and pretending otherwise would mean overselling customers on material they don’t need. Creality’s Ender and Hyper PLA lines are the backbone we reach for on our own farm when a job just needs dependable, always-in-stock material — printers running Creality hardware also get real convenience from Hyper PLA’s RFID auto-detection, which isn’t something we can offer with every brand.

Why SA Filament, When It’s Not Always the Cheapest Local Option?

Because “locally manufactured” is a genuine value for some customers and projects — shorter supply chains, less exposure to shipping delays and currency swings — and SA Filament’s Silk PLA+ lines hold their own on finish quality against imported specialty PLA. We don’t oversell it as automatically the budget choice, because it isn’t always; we stock it because it’s a legitimately strong option for the specific customers who value what it offers.

What Happens If a Spool Genuinely Lets You Down Anyway?

That’s what our first-print replacement guarantee is for. No filament brand, including the ones we’ve chosen carefully, is immune to an occasional bad spool — manufacturing isn’t perfect anywhere. The difference is what happens next: a genuine issue on your first print gets replaced, no argument.
