SA Filament PETG Speed Black is high-performance PETG engineered for fast
printing without compromising on the material properties that make PETG a go-to
choice for functional parts. Rated up to 500mm/s on compatible machines, it
delivers the strength, impact resistance, and chemical resilience of standard
PETG at speeds that push the limits of what this material class can do. A
practical, capable choice for functional enclosures, mechanical components,
brackets, and any application where durability and print speed both matter.
Key Features
- High-Speed Capable: Rated for print speeds up to 500mm/s
on compatible machines — significantly faster than standard PETG while
maintaining reliable extrusion and consistent layer adhesion. - PETG Strength and Durability: Retains the core properties
of PETG — strong, impact-resistant, and chemically resilient — making it well
suited to functional, load-bearing, and outdoor-facing parts. - Heat Resistance: Higher heat deflection than PLA — a more
practical material choice for parts exposed to elevated temperatures or direct
sunlight. - Consistent Diameter: ±0.05mm tolerance throughout the spool
for reliable, uninterrupted extrusion across the full print run. - Vacuum-Sealed Packaging: Each spool arrives vacuum-bagged
and boxed to protect filament quality during storage and transit — important
for a moisture-sensitive material like PETG.
Recommended Print Settings
- Nozzle Temperature: 225°C – 255°C
- Bed Temperature: 60°C – 80°C
- Print Speed: 200–500mm/s
- Cooling Fan: 100%
- Enclosure: Not required
- Drying: Recommended — reseal the bag after use. PETG is
moisture-sensitive and damp filament causes stringing and bubbles. If the
filament has been exposed to humidity, dry at 65°C for 4–6 hours before
printing.
Your printer’s motion system must support high-speed printing to take full
advantage of this filament. Start at a moderate speed and increase incrementally
to find your printer’s optimal performance point.
Compatible Printers
Compatible with all FDM printers that accept 1.75mm filament and have a heated
bed. Full high-speed capability requires a printer with a capable motion system
and direct drive or high-flow hotend — such as the Bambu Lab X1/P1 series,
Creality K1/K1 Max, or Creality Ender 3 V3. Also prints reliably at conventional
speeds on standard heated-bed FDM machines including Creality Ender 3 (all
variants), Creality CR-10, Prusa MK4, and Anycubic Kobra 2.
Why Vexil 3D Labs?
Vexil 3D Labs stocks filament locally in South Africa, which means faster
delivery and no waiting on international shipping. We carry a wide range of
colours and finishes to suit every project — from functional prints to display
models and artistic pieces.
Quality Guarantee: We stand behind every spool we sell. If
your filament does not meet quality expectations — whether it’s inconsistent
diameter, poor layer adhesion, or excessive breakage — contact us and we will
replace your spool. No hassle, no debate.
