Creality TPU White is a flexible thermoplastic polyurethane for parts that need to bend, stretch, grip or absorb impact. Where PLA cracks and PETG merely flexes, TPU compresses and springs back — which makes it the material for phone cases, gaskets, seals, printer feet, tool grips and RC tyres.
White TPU suits parts that need to look clean rather than industrial — wearables, medical-adjacent props, light diffusers and anything you plan to dye. Bear in mind that light TPU picks up marks from oily hands more readily than black.
Key Features
- Clean White: a neutral base for dyeing, and a softer look for wearables and decor
- Flexible and Elastic: bends, compresses and returns to shape without cracking or permanent deformation
- Abrasion Resistant: outlasts rigid filaments in parts that rub, grip or take repeated impact
- Excellent Bed Adhesion: sticks readily without glue or spray — often too well on smooth PEI
- Diameter Tolerance: ±0.03 mm for consistent flow and reliable layer adhesion
- Vacuum-Sealed Spool: packed with desiccant to protect against moisture in transit and storage
Recommended Print Settings
- Nozzle Temperature: 210°C – 240°C (225°C is a reliable starting point)
- Bed Temperature: 25°C – 60°C
- Print Speed: 20 – 30 mm/s — slow speed is the single most important TPU setting
- Cooling Fan: 50%
- Retraction: 0.5 – 1 mm, or disabled entirely — long retractions cause the filament to buckle
- Enclosure: not required
Compatible Printers
A direct drive extruder is strongly recommended. Direct drive machines — the Creality K1, K1C, K1 Max, Ender-3 S1 and V3 series, Bambu Lab and Prusa MK4 — grip the filament right above the hotend, leaving no gap for it to buckle. Bowden printers such as the stock Ender 3 can print TPU, but drop to 15 – 20 mm/s and reduce retraction to near zero. Do not feed TPU through a multi-material tube system; the added resistance causes feed failures.
