Key Features
- 10% carbon-fibre-reinforced PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) for exceptional stiffness and dimensional stability
- Heat deflection temperature of approximately 238–252°C at 0.45MPa – well beyond PLA, PETG, ABS or ASA
- Naturally flame-retardant (UL94 V0 rated at 1.5mm thickness)
- Excellent chemical resistance to acids, bases, fuels and solvents
- Minimal warping even without a heated chamber
- Low moisture absorption for long-term dimensional stability
Recommended Print Settings
- Nozzle temperature: 310–350°C
- Bed temperature: 80–90°C
- Cooling fan: 0% (off)
- Print speed: moderate – adjust to part geometry and printer capability
- Heated chamber: not required, though an enclosed space benefits larger parts
- Annealing (optional, for maximum performance): approx. 125°C for 16 hours
- Nozzle: all-metal hotend rated to at least 350°C, with a hardened steel or ruby-tipped wear-resistant nozzle – carbon fibre is abrasive on brass
Compatible Printers
- Requires a printer with an all-metal hotend capable of sustained temperatures up to 350°C – this rules out most standard desktop printers
- Suitable machines include the Creality K2 Plus (at the top of its 350°C rated range) and other high-temperature-capable prosumer/industrial printers such as the Bambu Lab X1E
- Not compatible with standard hobbyist printers (Ender-3 series, standard K1/K1C, and most FDM machines with a 300°C or lower hotend ceiling)
