Soleyin Basic PETG Sunset Blue sits exactly where most makers want to be — noticeably tougher than PLA, far easier to live with than ABS. It needs no enclosure, barely warps, resists moisture and chemicals, and comes off the bed with a natural gloss that makes finished parts look finished.

Sunset Blue is a deeper, warmer blue than the Snow Mountain shade — closer to the sky just after the sun drops. Under PETG’s natural gloss it holds a saturated, almost translucent quality on thin walls.

Key Features

  • Deep Sunset Blue: a saturated, warm-toned blue with a near-translucent quality on thin walls
  • Tough and Durable: impact and tensile strength well above PLA, without the warping and enclosure demands of ABS
  • Moisture and Chemical Resistant: low water absorption and good chemical resistance for indoor or outdoor use
  • Smooth Glossy Finish: excellent flow and bed adhesion leave minimal layer lines
  • Diameter Tolerance: ±0.03 mm for consistent flow and reliable layer adhesion
  • Vacuum-Sealed Spool: packed with desiccant to protect against moisture in transit and storage

Recommended Print Settings

  • Nozzle Temperature: 230°C – 250°C (240°C is a reliable starting point)
  • Bed Temperature: 70°C – 80°C
  • Print Speed: 30 – 60 mm/s
  • Cooling Fan: off for the first two layers, then 30 – 50%
  • Z Offset: set roughly 0.1 mm higher than PLA — PETG flows freely and needs the extra clearance
  • Drying: 55°C – 65°C for 4 – 6 hours if the spool has been open a while

Compatible Printers

This filament is 1.75 mm and prints on any FDM machine with a heated bed and a hotend rated to 250°C — the Creality Ender 3, Ender 5, CR-10, K1 and K2 ranges, Bambu Lab A1, P1 and X1 series, Prusa i3 MK3 and MK4, Anycubic Kobra and Elegoo Neptune. A standard 0.4 mm brass nozzle works fine. On smooth PEI or glass, use a thin layer of glue stick as a release agent — PETG bonds hard enough to chip a bare plate.
